Week 2 What is global warming?
The world is getting warmer and wetter due to climate change.
Climate change describes a change in the average conditions. Have you heard the word
"global warming"? It is said a phenomenon that greenhouse gases are released into the
atomosphere and the average global temperature rises. Since the industrial revolution in the middle of the 18th century, people have started to use fossil fuels such as coal and oil a lot, and the amount of carbon dioxide emitted into the atmosphere continues to increase, causing global warming.
Global warming causes natural disasters and will destroy our lives. It affects not only humans but also nature.
To give examples...
・Rising temperature
・Warming of the oceans and rising sea levels.
・The increase of drought
・The increase of health risks
・Food shortage
・Poverty and forced migration
・Decreaseing in creatures and plants
If this situation continues in the future, it is thought that it will have a serious impact on variety of things.
